Dear Valued Customer,
Unfortunately over the past few weeks the national average has increased rapidly and consistently with no signs of leveling off. As a result we cannot delay an increase any longer.
Therefore effective Tuesday March 1, 2011 our fuel surcharge will be 28% and PNW (Tacoma, Seattle & Portland) truck moves to 32%. This will include all truck moves. Notification of fuel surcharge on moves involving rail service will be sent out shortly.
National Daily Average Diesel Fuel cost for the past few weeks is as follows:
The fuel surcharge is temporary until the National Average of diesel fuel drops to $1.25 per gallon. To obtain the National Daily Average Diesel Fuel cost you can call (202) 586-6966 or click here.
The Fuel Surcharge will appear as a separate accessorial item on your invoice.
We at Intermodal Management System are asking for your understanding and cooperation at this time. We will monitor this situation closely and will try to minimize you costs as much as possible.
